Super Immune Smoothie

Smoothies are a fun way to incorporate a range of vegetables in your regular diet, and unlike juices, smoothies are packed full of nutrients and fibre!

This tasty drink offers an incredible kick for your immune system and ginger is an incredible immune-support spice that is used for everything from nausea, headaches, and digestive upset.

The mixture of seeds means you get plenty of immune nutrients like Zinc, as well as protein to keep you fuller for longer.

Ingredients

  • 2 cup liquid of choice (water or coconut water)

  • 1/3 cup leafy greens

  • 1/3 cup cucumber pieces

  • ½ medium carrot

  • 1 mandarin (peel & seeds removed)

  • Thin slice of lemon with skin on

  • 1 tbsp ginger

  • 2 tbsp mixed seeds (hemp / flax / chia)

 

Method

  1. Combine all the ingredients and blend until smooth.


Tips:

  • Freeze vegetable pieces (e.g. zucchini / carrot / cucumber / avocado) for quick and ready to use smoothie ingredients.

  •  If you like your smoothie a little sweeter, add a dash of maple syrup or honey.
