Raspberry Banana Smoothie

Smoothies are such a fabulously easy and delicious way to increase your fruit and vegetable intake. Different to juices, smoothies retain the fibre which keeps you fuller for longer.

In this smoothie you get the sweetness of the raspberries that are rich in Vitamin C and a low GI food, chia seeds provide protein and Omega-3 fats and the cauliflower is one of my fave veggies to add to smoothies because you can’t taste it at all. Just half a cup of cauliflower provides 50% of your daily Vitamin C requirements.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups liquid (I use 1 cup water / .5 cup coconut milk / .5 cup cows milk)

  • 1 banana

  • 1/2 cup raspberries

  • 1/2 cup cauliflower

  • 1 tsp vanilla paste

  • 2 tbsp chia seeds

  • 1 tbsp collagen powder (optional)

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

METHOD

  1. Blitz until smooth.

  2. Serve immediately (This feeds my family of 4 as a snack).
