Double-Choc Tahini Brownies

These brownies are decadent, gooey and really hit the spot for a morning or afternoon snack.

The tahini is such an excellent addition, it’s made from sesame seeds and high in;
✅ Calcium
✅ Fibre
✅ Iron
✅ Zinc for immunity & sex hormone production
✅ Selenium for thyroid function

and a lot more!

INGREDIENTS

  • 1.5 cups almond or flax meal

  • 1/2 cup cocoa

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • 1/2 cup walnuts (optional)

  • 1/2 cup coconut oil, melted

  • 1/2 cup maple or rice malt syrup

  • 3 eggs whisked

  • 100g 85% dark chocolate

  • 2 tbsp tahini

METHOD

  1. Combine dry ingredients in a bowl until cocoa is blended through evenly.

  2. In a separate bowl, mix the wet ingredients (except the tahini) and then add to the dry ingredients.

  3. Once combined, pour into a rectangle baking tin lined with baking paper.

  4. As the final step, spoon and swirl small portions of tahini throughout the mixture to create a marbled effect.

  5. Bake in a 160°C oven for 20 minutes or until skewer comes out clean.
